Duties of Insurance Commissioner
Ralph Taylor for insurance commissioner
The Delaware State Insurance Commissioner leads the Delaware Department of Insurance, who is responsible for protecting, educating, and advocating for Delaware residents. The Commissioner’s office regulates Delaware’s insurance industry, tracks insurance companies’ financial well-being, and investigates insurance fraud.
It is with a deep commitment to transparency, consumer protection, and the enhancement of the insurance industry that I bring a wealth of leadership to this crucial role.
The information below includes the duties of the Delaware Insurance Commissioner & how Ralph Taylor will work to support, regulate, & protect the following:
The divisions within the Department of Insurance include:
- Bureau of Captive & Financial Insurance Products
- Bureau of Company Examination, Rehabilitation & Guaranty (BERG)
- Consumer Services & Investigations Division
- Fraud Prevention Bureau
- Producer Licensing & Continuing Education Division
- Rates & Forms Divisions
Insurance is mandatory thus it must be affordable, accessible, fully transparent and practiced fairly, while holding all parties accountable for their contractual obligations. My campaign will focus on integrity while fulfilling the mission and duties of the office. Furthermore, I will aspire to create a work environment that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
A state-wide race is very costly; donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
